Diving with my pet Lucy_series
Background:
Lucy, or Lucia, is my beloved pet -
she is a Canadian mini vild Pig. I love Lucy and
I hope she loves me back. Our happy relationship is now 10 years old.  Why the pot-bellied pig? Because  I am born, according a Chinese Astrology, in the year of Fire Hog. So, 10 years ago I decided to study my own true nature through a corresponding pet - Lucy. Why the name - Lucia? Lucia means Light! And She is my enlightenment in this life, my teacher in patience, among the other good stuff. To live with a pet like we do, is like living in Paradise where people & animals are equal

Diving is my wonderful hobby since thirteen years back. My favourite diving places are situated in Egypt, Goa, Caribbean. I can't take Lucy with me, but when I'm under the water - she is always on my mind, for the shape of her body reminds a dolphin's. I admire her shape and I see it everywhere I go...

The series were accomplished 1997 and the exhibition took place 1998 at Gallery Oden, in Stockholm, Sweden

This white & beautiful stone', oil on canvas, 130 x 90 cm

Technical info:

The series are the oil paintings,
a canvas on a wooden frame, accomplished with a special approach.
That is: a best quality of oil & tempera paint has been applied in a plentitude of coats: oil-tempera, oil-tempera, etc.etc.. That is how the sence of a fluide water had been created. The method had been utilised during the XIV - XVI centuries in the European Art.
That is one reason I signed this series whith the Fleur De'Lys, the Royal french lily. Another one: my pet has that royal lily on her forehead - she always had it. Formed by Lucy's skin wrinkles the lily had been there since Lucia was a baby.
